Job Title: Full-Time Live-In Nanny Housekeeper (Live out also considered)

We are a warm and welcoming family seeking a full-time live-in (or live out) nanny housekeeper to help care for our two young children — a newborn and a 2-year-old toddler — while also supporting with household duties. The role requires flexibility, experience with both infants and toddlers, and a proactive, calm presence to help manage a busy home. Dad travels frequently during the week, so support for mum is key.

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:
• Daily care for a newborn and toddler: feeding, changing, settling, and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities
• Newborn support including bottle sterilising, nappy changes, winding, and soothing
• Support with nursery drop-offs and pick-ups (all local and walkable)
• Meal preparation for the children: breakfast and light dinners on nursery days; full meal plans on non-nursery days, including batch cooking for weekends
• Create and supervise stimulating indoor and outdoor activities suited to both children’s ages
• Maintain cleanliness in children’s spaces including bedroom, playroom, and bathroom

Housekeeping Duties:
• Light housekeeping, including tidying main living areas and the kitchen
• Light laundry (children’s clothes and occasional family laundry)
• General household organisation and help running day-to-day tasks

Typical Schedule:
• Morning: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Afternoon/Evening: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
(Flexibility required to accommodate changing routines and family needs)

Candidate Requirements:
• Experience working with newborns and toddlers in a private home setting
• Confidence supporting a family with a parent present and working in a shared-care environment
• Excellent understanding of child development and age-appropriate care
• Able to take initiative, highly organised, and trustworthy
• Good level of spoken English; additional languages a bonus
• Full driving license desirable but not essential – all amenities are within walking distance
• Up-to-date public liability or nanny insurance (or willingness to obtain)
• Enhanced DBS check and verifiable references
• Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Accommodation:
• Private bedroom and bathroom provided within the family home
• Located in a vibrant local town with a wide range of coffee shops, parks, and child-friendly play areas, all within walking distance

Salary:
• £500 per week, payable for 46 weeks of the year
