About Me
Hello, Im Mimi. Thank you for checking out my page!
I am a mummy of two lovely little boys, and live with them, my husband and our 4 year old cocker spaniel Dee Dee in Ferndown, East Dorset.
I qualified as a nurse 10 years ago and have experience in both the adult and child health field.
My most recent job was as a children in care nurse, working with our most complex and vulnerable young people.
I am also a self taught digital illustrator and make my own resources, games and activities. I will individually adapt these to every child I care for depending on unique interests, development and learning needs. Examples of this ( that children have already enjoyed at Mimi&me) include:
Road safety. A role play session has been provided to a child who needed more support with using the roads safely.
Bullying. Anti bullying puzzles and stories created and used during circle time to understand the importance of being kind.
Animal hospital role play, to learn about caring for animals and being safe around unknown pets.
Sharing and taking turns workshops and activities.
Brief updates and photos will be sent throughout the day, with a more thorough update once the day is over, to help you as parents feel as involved and reassured as possible.
Individual care plans and termly reports available.
One very integral part of my service is the nurture. It is a very worrying time to find someone who can give your child love and attention as much as you can.
At Mimi&me, children thrive in a caring and loving environment, with lots of praise, encouragement and cuddles aplenty!
I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can be to even think about leaving your child with someone else- I promise you are not alone!

My Experience
I have experience in the following areas:
Care work for adults and adults with learning disability.
District nursing, including wound and diabetic care, palliative/ end of life care.
Working with children and young people in a variety of settings, including foster and care homes.
A variety of training, including young persons mental health, paediatric first aid, ASD, attachment disorder, severe trauma, domestic abuse and violence, prevent, FGM and much more.
Of course, the most invaluable experience is being a mummy and the daily challenges ( as well as the most amazing rewards!) that we can face. I have experiences being a stay at home and working parent and feel I would be able to offer support and reassurance to a variety of parents with different worries.
My Qualifications
Registered childminder.
Registered nurse, nursing pin can be viewed under the NMC.
Paediatric first aid trained.
My Availability
Monday-Thursday, from 7am until 6pm.
I am able to do pick up and drop offs to Parley first school and rainbows end nursery.
Additional babysitting services can be discussed.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.50 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6.00 an hour, minimum of six hours a day please. This includes snacks, drinks, activities and outings.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can all be provided for a small additional charge ( £1 a meal)
Before school club, including breakfast and school drop off £10 a child (5% discount applies if a sibling present)
After school club, including pick up and supper £12 a child ( with a 5% sibling discount)
School holiday club £48 a day with 5% sibling discount.
All kinds of funding accepted.

Mimi has exceeded our expectations! I felt so comfortable from the start when communicating with her. I needed afternoon into the evening care for my boys who are 4 years old & 6 month old.
She arrived on time at our Airbnb with her sensory box which was a massive hit with lots to explore and chat about. We chatted about our plans for the evening and showed Mimi where everything is located. Mimi has a wonderful warmth and kindness about her that make us feel at ease, the boys took to her straight away and my oldest boy has been asking when can we see Mimi again. :)
