Hello,
My name is Kerry, I am an Ofsted registered childminder located in Hainault Essex.
I have a passion for working with children. I have many years of experience working in primary and secondary schools as an LSA and teaching assistant. I have just opened my home nursery, which i am very excited about, and look forward to welcoming little ones to explore whilst learning through play. I hold relevant certifications in Peadtric First Aid, Food hygiene, and Safeguarding and also have experience working with SEN children.
What do I offer?
I offer a safe , warm, and friendly home for kids to learn , play, and grow. I am a Tiney Ofsted registered childminder, and I strive to bring as much real-world learning and independence through play. I believe that learning through play is an essential component for child development.
I use the " Tiney"app for daily monitoring and daily observation, which i upload at the end of each day that your child attends. This includes a snap shot of the day so the parent can see what their child achieved. The app also includes invoices and targets , their play, mealtime, and daily activities. I am open all year round and offer adapted hours to suit the parents' needs.

My Experience
In my previous career, I worked as a learning support assistant and as a teaching assistant within primary schools.
In secondary schools, I worked as a cover supervisor.
**Philosophy:**
I believe in a play-based learning approach, tailored to each child's unique needs and interests. I aim to create a supportive atmosphere where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills while having fun.
**Activities:**
Our days are filled with a mix of educational activities, creative play, and outdoor adventures. I provide a structured routine, including story time, arts and crafts, and age-appropriate educational games.
**Safety First:**
Safety is my top priority. I maintain a clean and child-proofed environment, regularly conduct safety checks, and ensure all equipment and toys are age-appropriate and well-maintained.
**Communication:**
Open communication with parents is key. I provide daily or weekly updates on your child's activities, achievements, and any noteworthy moments. I encourage parents to share insights and preferences to tailor the care to each child's unique needs.
**Facilities:**
My home is a warm and welcoming space, equipped with a dedicated play area, nutritious meals, and a comfortable rest space. I strive to create a home away from home for your little ones.
**Availability:**
