About Me
My name is Darian Sockey, and I'm an artist and ABA Tharpist who has been working with children all over the world for over 13 years. I began Babysitting in the summer of 2011, and began assitant teaching at my performing arts school soon after for children ages 4-6. I continued teaching arts and theater in Seattle until I got my Early Childhood Education Certificate at 18, and began working with kids from 6-weeks all the way up to preschool. After one year of my own preschool class, I accept an offer to teach English Abroad in China for six months, before I moved to Taiwan and started my own Mommy & Me learning center. Unfortunately, Covid called me back to my home country where I furthered my certifications, and vegan working in ABA as a Behavioral Technician with children who have a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD. After a while within that company I began working freelance as a Behavioral Technician/Tutor before receiving an offer from one family I tutored for to nanny their newest addition until he was ready for daycare. Working with kids has always been a passion of mine, and I'm excited and grateful to continue that experience here today.
My Experience
I have experience with children from newborn all the way up 14, though my passion is Early Childhood Education.
From Teaching Theater to Teaching English, I have had the opportunity to work with children of all ages, religions, backgrounds, and cultures - and I have loved every step of the way.
Due to my broad background in Childcare and Education, I was certified as a Behavioral Technician within the realm of ABA Therapy when I returned to the states, and I furthered my education in Early Childhood Psychology, specifically with children ages 0-7.
With those certifications and knowledge I began working privately as well - bringing Tutoring and ABA Therapy to individual families and tailoring programs and sessions to their needs.
I made a very special connection with one family in particular, and ended up working entirely for them as a private nanny for their young daughter and their newborn son until he was old enough to go to daycare.
Now here in London, I'm looking forward to continuing my journey withing Childcare and Early Education.
