About Me
Supply staff covering nurseries across Berkshire for 4 years. During this time my duties included:
-adapting to each nurseries’ policies & surroundings
-following safeguarding to ensure safety of each child
-supervising meal times and supporting baby led weaning
-setting up activities indoors & outdoors
-applying first aid and keeping records of accidents & medicine
-changing nappies & applying creams
After a long term placement I became a full time nursery assistant at a local nursery- for children aged 0-5, where I was responsible for the following:
-documenting the children’s progress following the EYFS
-morning and afternoon hand over with parents
-setting up and supervising breakfast, snacks, lunch, tea & water intake
-leading yoga & music session with the children
-1 day of baking a week to boost confidence & fine motor skills
-supporting babies with tummy time, baby led weaning, teething, introducing new food, learning to walk
-maintaining a clean and tidy environment
-making & sterilising bottles
-SENCO experience supporting 3-5 yr old boy with his emotional & physical needs individually & in group work
-reading, writing, phonics, maths, music
-creating engaging sensory activities
-water & sand trays stay topped up and ready for daily use
-making and serving healthy, nutritious meals for children aged 0-5
-experience of severe allergies
Currently I do weekly after school sessions with a family I met from nursery who I have a great relationship with, this is what I do for them:
-arriving promptly and being flexible to stay longer if needed
-supervise both boys (3&6) whilst playing indoors & outdoors
-firm but fair attitude to support sharing, taking turns etc
-supporting dinner time & cleaning up
-making sure boys are bathed & ready for bed
-supporting parents with minimal screen time
-helping out with their large dog
-weekend babysitting
-last minute help

Rosie baby sat my 2 year old Daughter on numerous occasions , Rosie is very enthusiastic and understanding when it came to my daughters needs and adjusting to her routine , Rosie is kind and loving and very helpful she caters to all needs and even home cooking! Which my daughter loved. I highly recommend Rosie as a trusted Baby Sitter / Nanny she never disappoints Xx
