About Me

I am a dedicated, empathetic, and affectionate nanny with a decade of experience in the childcare sector. I have a proven track record of fostering child development, health, and overall well-being within safe and nurturing environments. My innate ability to connect with children, identify their unique needs, and implement individualised care plans sets me apart.
In addition to my hands-on childcare experience, I have actively contributed to the community by participating in the PTA and volunteering at Eaton Primary School, where my son attended. My involvement extended to organising Zumba fitness sessions, PE lessons, and after-school clubs in various schools. I consistently strived to create a positive and constructive atmosphere, promoting positive learning behaviors, team building, and, most importantly, ensuring a fun environment. As part of my commitment to healthy living, I introduced a novel approach by concluding classes with the exploration of new fruits/vegetables, fostering healthy eating habits among the children.
My understanding of special needs comes from personal experience with my niece, who is autistic, as well as from being a nanny for an autistic boy. In challenging situations, my adaptable and patient approach enabled effective problem-solving and created a positive experience for the child.
During my recent full-time nanny position for three children aged 4, 6, and 8, I established close connections and successfully navigated challenging situations by focusing on the positives and utilizing my creative talents. This experience reinforced my resilience, patience, and deep love for children and people, guiding my desire for a fulfilling career in teaching and working with children.
My commitment to safety is underscored by being CPR trained, and my exposure to emergency medical services through my husband, who serves as a Fire Chief/EMT at RAF Croughton, has provided valuable insights.
Beyond childcare, my passion for holistic health and wellbeing, plants, and natural solutions led me to pursue a BSc in Nutrition Science. I've applied this knowledge, sharing it with family and friends while also staying proficient in Windows Office and technology.
Possessing excellent time management, multitasking, and organisational skills, I am always open to learning new skills and welcome constructive criticism. My experiences in the NHS and constant exposure to diverse people have honed my abilities, making me hardworking, adaptable, and creative with excellent interpersonal skills.

My Experience

Worked full time with three different families providing attentive care to children aged 1-8. Completed CPR & First Aid training. Worked with children on the Autistic spectrum. Responsibilities included running errands, light housekeeping and transporting children to school, doctors and other parents residences. Engaged in daily healthy meal preparation, introduced new fruits/vegetables and organised outdoor activities like going to parks, museums, water parks, ponds, zoo, beach, gym, sports facilities, indoor play and outdoor sports while teaching the youngest how to swim, potty training and regular teeth brushing. Utilised creativity, empathy, patience and flexibility to ensure children’s happiness. Demonstrated compassion and understanding particularly during a challenging period when the most recent family's mother passed away, providing crucial support to the children and immediate family. Bringing a nurturing spirit, I love to encourage and support children in fostering their development, ensuring a positive and growth-oriented environment.

My Qualifications

Worked with children teaching Zumba in schools, being on the PTA, volunteering in reception class and being a full time nanny. Also hold a degree in Nutrition Science
