My Summary
About Me
Hello! My name is Amber. I live in Amesbury, just outside Salisbury . I am a fun, friendly person who enjoys going for walks, spending time with friends and family!
When nannying i support the childrens learning by planning fun and stimulating activities according to the child's age and stage of development. Some of these activities include painting/mark making for fine motor skills, swimming for gross motor skills, music classes which encourages creative development. I quite often go for lovely walks in the local area as well as visiting farms. I also enjoy baking with the children.
I enjoy the flexibility that being a nanny can offer and although i take my job very seriously, i enjoy becoming part of the family.
I hold a Paediatric first aid certificate.
I hold a DBS check.
I have a full drivers licence and business insurance that enables me to be insured to drive your little ones around!
I have Maxi-Cosi isofix car seats that i use solely for nannying.
I have single/double pushchairs available if needed
I am Ofsted registered.
My Experience
Nursery / Preschool experience:
I have experience working in day nurseries with children aged 6 weeks - 5 years. I have worked as part of team to ensure all the children in our care were supervised, cared for etc
I have also worked Preschools with children aged 2.5years - 5 years. I had a small group of 'key children' . It was my responsibility to ensure they were learning and developing by doing observations and recording everything in a Learning Journal , everything was linked back to the EYFS Statutory Framework.
Nanny / Babysitting experience:
Family 'B' - 18month toddler. We enjoyed weekly trips to a local library, taking part in a music and rhyme group. I cared for him 3 days a week 9am - 2pm, while his parents worked from home. I regularly did overtime and evening for babysitting for this family.
Family 'X and R' - 2 little girls aged 6 months and 2 years when the role commenced. We regularly took the bus into Salisbury centre to meet with friends and explore Salisbury cathedral (The 2 year LOVED this!). We also enjoyed baking at home, messy play and crafts.
Family 'E and A' - 18months and 3 year old. We enjoyed playing in the garden, going to the local park, making summer/autumn/winter/spring pictures, visiting a local playgroup and lots more!
Family 'C and M' - 9 year old twins. School pick ups, homework help, supervising instrument practice.
Family 'J, A, B and D' - 4 years, 2 years and 6 week twins. I have assisted with weaning, supported mum with the transition from breast to bottle, nursery duties, planning exciting activities.
Family 'L' - 2.5 years old - September 2019(4 years). Preschool drop offs and pick ups aswell as all day care. I have sole charge. We enjoy swimming, baking, arts and crafts, puzzles, cooking. I am responsible for full nursery duties (Laundry, ironing, making beds, keeping enviroment clean and tidy).
More recently I have cared for a boy aged 7 months when the role commenced and also a girl age 15 months when the role commenced (both current!)
I also do some one off baby-sitting for families, the majority of the time the families invite me back to care for their children, which is lovely. I have also done overnight babysitting/nannying.
I have some positive reviews on here so please take a look :)

We were very lucky to find Amber when our twins were just a few months old so along with them and two older boys we were a very busy household! Amber is extremely capable and always calm and in control. She has a lovely way with the children, they all absolutely adored her and I trusted her implicitly with them. As well as help with the children, she also helped me with household duties which was incredibly helpful. Unfortunately due to a house move we no longer have Amber working with us and she is greatly missed by us all.
Amber has only been with us three times so far and has already made a very positive impression on my (previously) very shy daughter and a 6 month old who usually only wants mummy. She is very kind, very good company for all of us and both my children are so happy to see her. My eldest daughter is very bright and Amber has creatively stimulated her imagination but has also paid attention to things that are important to us and Xanthe enjoys, like reading. She has such a great sense of fun too and that balance of education and imagination is priceless. She's great with discipline, having a very kind way of guiding our children in the right way and helping a toddler also interact better with the new, suspicious baby.
I would highly recommend Amber to everyone - although I beg you not to take her away from us!
Amber has been part time nannying with our family for several months and our son is always very happy to see her. This means a lot to us as he generally is quite shy with all adults apart from mum and dad.
Amber is fun, friendly, easygoing, imaginative and sensitive to our little one's needs.
