Hello! I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder with a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic approach to childcare. I have been working in the childcare industry since 2018. My goal is to offer children a space where they can learn, explore, and grow at their own pace, while enjoying the fun and creativity that comes with childhood.
My home nursery is ideally located with great transport links and is close to local parks, libraries, supermarkets, and other community resources, offering a variety of opportunities for enriching outings and adventures. I care for a small group of no more than three children, ensuring that each child receives full attention and the highest level of care.
My Experience
I have worked as a qualified nursery practitioner, leading the Baby Room, Toddler Room, and Pre-School, which has provided me with extensive experience caring for children of all ages. I have looked after children from newborns to 11-year-olds, and these roles have inspired many creative activity ideas for my own home nursery. I have also offered babysitting services to friends and family.

Our toddler Lucy (currently 22 months) started with Shumana about 6 weeks ago. But it honestly feels so much longer as Lucy has settled in so quickly and gets excited when we approach Shumana’s door.
Shumana has been so caring with Lucy and we have noticed Lucy’s speech has been coming on and she is showing so much confidence in herself.
We are really lucky to have found Shumana. Her setting is cosy! Perfect for Lucy. And we love that we get updates throughout the day via Tiney app.
