My Summary

My Experience

I have worked as a casual childminder and babysitter for more than 13 years with children between 10 months and 11 years of age. I worked as an au pair for a family with two boys (six months and three years old) and after my BA in Early Years Education, I worked as an Early Years Educator in a nursery in Germany. I have an apprenticeship in the pedagogy of sexuality (Sex Education) and an MA in Gender, Sexuality, and Culture. I love to include this knowledge in my inclusive, anti-racist, and feminist approach.
I put the relationship I have with the children first in my work. Healthy development and general growth are impossible without a strong bond of trust. I focus on emotional and individual needs and I want the children I work with to be securely attached to me so that they feel safe to express all their emotions and explore their world and interests.
I constantly read up on approaches and what language to use around children to have a warm, kind, and stress-free relationship and environment with the children.

I believe that every child deserves my full attention and I think a loving but professional relationship is vital to see, understand, and respond accordingly to each child's needs. I can confidently say that I put my heart into my profession, I am a good listener, and I am flexible, open, and non-judgmental.

My Qualifications

I have University degrees in Early Childhood Education and Gender, Sexuality, and Culture. Moreover, I have completed an apprenticeship in Sex Education for children, young adults, and adults. My training in First Aid is up to date and I have experience in working with people with disabilities.

My Availability

I am ideally looking for part time work.

• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
