About Me
Summer-holiday babysitter, day or evening. I'm currently in university but home for the Summer, soon applying for teacher training courses. I'm fun and creative with games and activities, with experience in youth work and playwork.
My Experience
I am a weekly volunteer with Rainbows and Brownies, in which I plan and present activities, crafts, etc and help with basic skills such as reading/writing. In my Linguistics course I have volunteered with a support club for dyslexic children and those struggling with language acquisition. I have basic training with SEND and do frequent Playwork for a young person with SEND. I am first aid and safeguarding trained as well. Most of all, through my experience I've developed a joy in helping children learn and have fun!
My Qualifications
I have my core GCSEs and ALevels English Language, History and Sociology, plus an Extended Project of a children's book based on research around language acquisition and Selective Mutism. I obtained my Girlguiding leadership qualification including recent First Aid and Safeguarding. I am currently studying English Language (Linguistics) and Literature, applying for teacher training courses afterwards.
My Availability
I am free most days over the Summer apart from single occasions here and there. Thursday evenings I volunteer with Rainbows/Brownies. I can do overnight for special cases.
