About Me
Hi, my name is Brooke I’m 22 years old and studying to become a social worker at Strathclyde University. I’m currently on leave for the summer holidays and looking for childcare work. I love keeping active my hobbies include, horse riding, going to the gym and netball I also being outdoors, meeting up with friends and shopping. I have a real passion for children’s wellbeing and supporting them to meet their curriculum and age/ stage milestones. I have my own car and have a full clean drivers license which I’ve upheld for 4 years. I am a very reliable and responsible person who works off their initiative.
My Experience
I completely a summer in America as part of the CampAmerica team looking after children in a residential setting full time which was a live-in position, I upheld this role for 3 months (the duration of the camp) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have also spend lots of time babysitting for friends and family who have children from newborn up to teens, this has built my confidence in this role. I have just finishing my placement in a primary school and working towards being a fully qualified social worker in the children and families sector, this is something again I feel passionately about.
My Qualifications
I have a HNC in Social Services and also have a PVG which I’ve upheld for the past year. I also have a first aid certificate. I also have numerous National 5’s and Highers.
My Availability
I am currently on leave until September so available Monday to Friday anytime of the day/evenings.
