About Me
Hello, my name is Chloe Butcher and I am a fully qualified Primary school teacher with 18 years’ classroom experience. I am passionate about nurturing and building children’s confidence whilst empowering them to reach their full academic potential in a creative and personalised way. I am friendly, approachable, organised, reliable and flexible to the needs of your child, with a particular interest in the teaching of Mathematics, English, Phonics and Reading. My aim is to make learning as fun and engaging as possible!
My Experience
18 years’ classroom teaching experience working from Year 1 to Year 5 with a range of abilities and needs. I have been a successful Phase Leader in both KS1 and KS2, as well as the whole school Wellness Lead for many years, during which time I have been responsible for creating and implementing a new and progressive curriculum designed to maximise children’s well-being, independence and self-worth. In 2023 I completed the ‘Senior Mental Health Lead’ training and have successfully mentored many newly qualified teachers throughout the early stages of their career. I have multiple years’ experience in the teaching of early Reading and Phonics, including preparing children for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Test. I am experienced in teaching children with additional needs and tailoring lessons to meet the needs of all learners, making learning enjoyable, practical and accessible for all.
