My Summary
About Me
Hello! My name is Poppy, and I am a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher with a specialism in early years education. With five years of teaching experience under my belt, I have developed a deep love for nurturing young minds and helping them grow in a safe and supportive environment.
Teaching has always been my calling, and I find great joy in creating a space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. My sensitive and patient approach allows me to connect with children on a personal level, understanding their unique needs and fostering their individual strengths.
Beyond the classroom, I enjoy cooking and find great satisfaction in preparing nutritious and delicious meals. I believe that good food is an essential part of caring for others, and I am more than happy to take on housekeeping and meal preparation duties.
As I look to expand my horizons this summer, I am excited about the opportunity to work as a nanny. I am committed to providing a warm and caring environment where children can thrive, learn, and feel loved. I am also happy to offer tutoring services, drawing on my teaching experience to support children in their educational journey during the summer months.
I look forward to the possibility of bringing my skills, passion, and caring nature into your home, and supporting your family in any way I can. Thank you for considering me for this wonderful opportunity!
My Experience
I have a rich and varied background working with children. I spent one year as a nursery practitioner, which laid a strong foundation for my career in early years education. For the past five years, I have been a primary school teacher, with four years dedicated to Reception and one year teaching Year 1. Additionally, I have worked as a long-term nanny during school holidays, a role in which I can provide a reference upon request. My experience also includes working with children with special needs, ensuring I can adapt and cater to a wide range of individual requirements. My communication style fosters positive relationships through clear expectations and an emotionally supportive approach. I believe in open, honest dialogue and consistently provide children with the encouragement and guidance they need to thrive.
