My Summary
About Me
I have a keen interest in working with and supporting others, after gaining a 2:1 in my Primary Education BA Degree. I chose this degree and career path as I love making connections with children and trying to inspire them to learn. I am incredibly passionate about helping people and am often inspired by those I work with. It is crucial to me that those I work with feel valued and I use my strength in empathy to help me do this. Through the use of the Myer Briggs assessment, I have recognised that I am a very creative person who often thinks outside of the box, looking at potential problems in an open-minded way, leading to consideration using many alternative perspectives.
I have a deep interest in working with those who have SEND. Throughout my education, during each work experience opportunity, I found myself gravitating towards working with those with SEND.
I am a sociable person and I enjoy being with my friends and tend to be the person who organises social events and gatherings. I am organised, and good at problem solving. I try to be kind and supportive, I try to diffuse difficult situations and see other people’s point of view.
My Experience
I am a fully-qualified primary teacher, with specialised training and experience working with those with SEND. I have worked within the mainstream primary school setting in the majority of year groups. I have also tutored children between the ages of four and eighteen across a wide variety of subjects, so I am able to adapt my teaching to an individuals specific needs.
My Qualifications
I qualified with a 2:1 degree in Primary Education from the University of Oxford Brookes. I gained A-Levels in English Literature, Psychology and Art. I also have thirteen GCSEs, including English, Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
My Availability
I am currently on maternity leave with my first child and so my availability is relatively flexible with enough notice.
