About Me

Hi, my name is Amelia and I am a mum to two beautiful girls aged 10 and 7.

I was a nanny in Chiswick for around 9 years where I worked for two different families who I was with for over 4 years each . When I started my own family I was lucky enough to be able to bring my own children with me which worked so perfectly for all at the time. We attended lots of different playgroups and classes and I assisted with homework and did light chores e.g - kids washing, helping keep their bedrooms tidy and cooking for the children. I also made sure we planned play dates with friends from school and had a great nanny network around us. I would always keep fantastic communication between myself and the parents and kept a daily diary of any changes or development for each child.
I really do have such fond memories of being a part of both families lives and still keep in contact with both families now and again.

Since leaving nannying I have been working in a primary school in Isleworth for the last 4 years. I am currently a TA/PPA cover role in a year 4 class (key stage 2) but I have been a Ta mainly in key stage 1. This last year I had a ppa cover role across key stage 1 and Early years where I have learnt a good knowledge of the primary curriculum and EYFS. I have also gained a lot of confidence in behaviour management (you need this when leading a class of 30 lol!) and also working as part of a team but using initiative when needed. I have also got SEN experience and have had Safeguarding training. I am also paediatric first aid trained.
I also have another job with a company called The Little Wedding Creche. We provide childcare for weddings and my role is to lead a staff team and to make sure the day runs as smoothly as possible and all children are happy and calm. I have been doing this for the past 3 years and love it! It really is so wonderful to be a part of a couples special day. This role is mainly on weekends and I am my busiest with it during wedding season which is mainly between June-September.
I throughly enjoy working at the school but am looking to get back into nannying for the right family. I am looking for 3/4 days a week (flexible on days) with a possibility of my two gorgeous girls joining me in the holidays for a day or so a week. They are really kind girls and totally love other children especially babies/toddlers and would be such fun and a great help. Of course you can make your own mind up with them but I’m sure you won’t disagree when meeting them ?
