About Me
Hi! I'm Claire, a Mum of 2 children aged 11 and 13 and a qualified primary school teacher. I have worked with children since the age of 14 to now - at 44! I'm a friendly, supportive and caring person who is available for one to one or small group private tuition from my purpose built garden room in Woodthorpe for children up to the age of 11. I hold a full DBS.
I also offer childcare help and occasional babysitting.
Currently I tutor after school Mondays - Thursdays but am looking for some work to fit around that.
Happy with adhoc work as well as a more permanent routine. Pretty flexible in terms of this, so long as it fits with my own family.

My Experience
Worked in schools from 1999 - 2024 as a TA, teacher and tutor. I've experience of supporting 1000's children with their learning, including those with special needs such as dsylexia and autism and those who are working at greater depth.
Currently, I tutor 14 children on a 1:1 basis after school.
I've babysat as a teenager for children between 6 months and 11 years and of course raised my own children.
My Qualifications
PGCE achieved in 2009
BA Hons in Education.
Full DBS and up to date safeguarding knowledge.
Certificate in children and young peoples mental health.
Certificates in providing tuition.
My Availability
After school tuition - I have some availability arising June 2025. I work on a waiting list system - feel free to get your child's name down.
Occasionally, I offer before school sessions too - this works well for children attending nearby schools in Woodhorpe, Arnold and Mapperley.
In terms of childcare/babysitting I have availability during the day up until I tutor so would prefer shorter jobs that fit in with that. Ideally between the hours of 9 and 3. I will babsit on evenings too - just get in touch to see my availability for that week.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £34.00 per hour
1:1 tuition from my home classroom - 30 minutes £23.00, 45 minutes £30.00. Occasional 1 hour slots - 34.00
Daytime babysitting - 14.00 an hour (10A.M - 3P.M ) availability with notice. Rates can be negotiated dependingon what is required. ADHOC is fine.
Evening babysitter - negotiable. ADHOC.
