About Me
I am a primary school teacher, full time, so would be able to offer extra support for children 5-11 years of age, in a variety of subjects: maths, English, Science, spellings, fine motor skills and p.e. I love to help anybody and like to make a difference in lives of others- big or small.
I used to be a National Swimmer so could help with swimming skills if needed. I have 4 learning disabilities: dyslexia, dyspraxia, visual stress and ADHD, so understand the needs of children. As a hobby, I enjoy to read, I like Lego, I enjoy going for walks and love animals (apart from spiders!), I enjoy watching films and playing games (Nintendo switch, board games, card games), I like listening to music and will have a good go at art and crafts - mosaic, resin, painting, pottery painting.. just to name a few. I am extremely family and friend oriented.
My Experience
I have taught in Year 2, 3 and have currently been teaching Year 5 for 3 years. Throughout this, I have worked with a variety of children, including children with SEN needs. I have 3 learning disabilities myself, so can adapt learning to their pace. I used to be a cubs, beaver and Scout member and loved learning about the outdoors. I have had experience in teaching swimming and lifesaving at my club North Worcester Lifesaving at Halesowen. I haven’t had experience in babysitting but would like to be given a chance to earn a bit extra on the side!
My Qualifications
I have maths, English and science GSCE. I have 3 A-Levels in psychology, health and social care and P.E. I have a QTS degree and I am English As an Additional Language Lead at my school.
My Availability
I am available mostly in the Summer Holidays and half terms as they go with my work hours as a teacher! So I would be able to help during the day, whereas in term time my hours to help would be more limited! Would need to be flexible, due to other commitments! X
