About Me
I am a fully qualified teacher who has decided to leave the classroom after almost 10 years to focus on a new adventure as a tutor.
I have experience working with children with a range of SEN needs including ASD, ADHD and global delay. I have also received Level 1 training in Makaton.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a range of ages within primary education, predominantly within EYFS and KS1 but I have experience working within KS2 as well.
My teaching style is very practical based, building in as many real life experiences as I can. I feel that engagement within learning is key to developing a secure knowledge of skills which can be applied in a range of contexts.
The beauty of tuition is providing individualised learning for young people to flourish. This is something I pride myself on and will provide tuition tailored to your individual needs - this can also incorporate EHCP outcomes.
I currently work for a SEN Home Tuition company delivering home education for young people in their home so most of my availability will be evenings, weekends and I am open to work during school holidays.
My Experience
My experience is within KS1, lower KS2 and in the EYFS (early years). Before becoming a teacher, I worked in a private day nursery for many years. Although I have worked in mainstream settings, I also have a wealth of experience with SEN children.
My Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status and a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Working with Children and Families.
