I am available during school hoildays and weekends to help out with baby/childcare sitting.
I have 20 years experience within child care settings.

I am qualified Teaching Assistant & Nursery Nurse with 26 years experience working within child care settings, both in Private and in mainstream schools. In 1997 I started working as a nursery assistant in private nursery setting. In 2001 & 2002 I gained further qualifications I became a qualified Nursery Nurse, Assistant Manager at Maytime Montossori Nursery.
In February 2013 to July 2016. I worked at Hartley Primary school in the nursery setting as a teaching assistant. My responsibility were to support the staff and my colleagues with setting up the class with everyday activities and resources to help encourage the children to learn newskills. I would carry out a phonic session in the morning and afternoon as part of circle time.
I would supervise the children and indoors and outdoors. Occasionally observe the children while they are engaging in class activities and record their progress in their journal.
I have supported the staff and children on school outings.
I then moved on to work at Mark Gate Infants from November 2016 my role was working a mentor for a child with special needs who was diagnosed with autism and speech and language development. Occasionally I worked with children in key stage 1 classes supporting children with their learning skills, and working with pupils one to one and in small groups.
In 2017 April to January 2018 I worked at Gidea Park Primary as a Teaching Assistant in key stage one class, Reception, and YR 1. My main responsibility was to support the children in the classroom with everyday curriculum and development.
February 6th 2018 - March 2019, I worked at Harris Academy Primary School. During the this yearI I was working with children with special educational needs. and with groups of children in Reception class supporting them with their learning in the classroom.
My responsibility were to observe and assess children’s learning development and work closely with the teachers, colleagues to ensure next steps are met according to their abilities, and participate with planning and implementing learning activities and tasks.
April 2021 I worked at Deadworth Green First School as a Lunch Time Controller and Teaching Assistant.
My responsibilities are to collect the children from their classroom and walk the children across to the dinning hall, and to help the children to collect their hot meals ensuring they have the correct lunch according to their dietary needs. I then make sure all the children are settled and eating all their lunch including children with packed lunch, and help cut their food if needed. Encourage good behaviour and table manners.
I supervise the children in the playground occasionally in doors if the weather is wet.
When minor injuries occur like cuts, graze and bruises I will attend to this and record the incident. If the children are upset comfort them.
One of my main duties is to organise games and activities for the children to play with and encourage positive behaviour.
 I then took on a role as a Teaching Assistant in helping the children in the classroom supporting them with Maths and English lessons. I would support children with special educational needs in groups and individually and support interventions groups, one of them being bucket session with the children to encourage social and language development. Alongside the class teacher I help out with phonics sessions with various groups of children, help to manage pupils behaviour within in the class room and across the school. In the afternoons I listen to each children read their school books and change their book when they have finished. At the end of the day I would help my teacher to settle the children down for home time, to help them get their costs, bags, and see the children home to their parents safely.
January 2024 I am working at Phoenix Infants as a teaching assistant. My role here is to support the class teacher and the children in the class room and support children with special educational needs. Alongside side I have a group of children and teach phonics in the morning. During my day I support the children with their Maths and English along with other curriculum subjects in the afternoon and support the class teacher with managing pupils behaviour.
During playtimes, lunchtime I supervise the children whilst playing making sure they are safe and happy and to assist with any accidents or injuries that may occur, comfort children who maybe upset.
I have excellent knowledge of EYFS frame work, whilst being hardworking and have a caring nature to ensure good practice is demonstrated across all areas of learning based on children’s age and abilities.
As part of EYFS I have had the responsibility to lead various intervention groups, which involved myself to in preparing resources and teaching differentiated lesson with small groups of children.
