My Summary

My Experience

With experience working in early childhood settings and being a nanny for children with autism, I assumed individual responsibilities, overseeing key children, writing weekly observations, and compiling monthly development reports. These roles demanded impeccable time management skills, ensuring I met the high standards of care while nurturing the children’s development. As a consequence of this I have developed great communication skills, know when to take initiative in many situations. I have also had to learn how to adapt to each child’s specific needs, whilst working with children with autism the one I primarily cared for was non-verbal, so I had to introduce new ways for him to communicate, I did this through Makaton and PEC cards. I have achieved a distinction star in my health and social care level 3 national extended certificate, within this course i looked at policies and procedures all practitioners should follow, we also learned how to write and carry out risk assessments.

My Qualifications

Passed all GCSEs and a-levels. Currently doing undergraduate study at Nottingham Trent University
