I'm delighted to welcome you to my home-based nursery, where children thrive in a nurturing, family-like environment. My mission is to foster creativity, compassion, kindness, resilience, and adaptability in every child, helping them grow into confident and responsible members of our community. I believe these values are the foundation for developing happy, confident learners ready to navigate our ever-changing world.
Communication with caregivers is a top priority, and I love celebrating each child’s achievements through charts and positive reinforcement. In our nursery, every child’s uniqueness is cherished, and a strong sense of belonging and mutual respect is nurtured.
To enrich our shared environment, we offer a variety of play and exploration zones throughout the home. We also enjoy trips out and about—I hold a full UK driving licence with appropriate insurance and car seats, allowing us to extend learning beyond our walls. Conveniently located near both bus and train links, we’re well-positioned for broader experiences, too.
Although our main garden is currently undergoing renovations, we do have a small, secure outdoor space available for play in the meantime. Safety is always a priority during operating hours.
An exciting update—my husband has now joined me as my assistant! Together, we’ve carefully designed and renovated our home with childminding in mind, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and loving environment.
A special part of our setting is our gentle and calming house cat, Skye. She has a lovely nature and enjoys spending time with the children, while also having the freedom to retreat to her own space when she needs a break—just like we all do sometimes.
My Experience
What sets us apart is the blend of professional expertise and personal experience that both my husband and I bring to our setting. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through my Primary PGCE and have extensive experience as both a teacher and nursery practitioner. As a mother of a three-year-old, I’m especially attuned to children's emotional needs and committed to fostering their curiosity, independence, and confidence in a safe, loving environment.
My husband has now joined me as my assistant, bringing his own hands-on experience of fatherhood and a wonderfully different approach to play and interaction. His natural, relaxed style of engaging with children offers a lovely balance to the setting—giving the children even more ways to connect, explore, and grow through varied play experiences.
Families I’ve worked with in schools and nurseries often speak highly of the nurturing environment I provide and the strong, positive relationships I build with both children and parents. Being close to a local school also makes our setting convenient for many families.
We’re registered with a childminding agency that offers excellent support for both families and childminders. Their dedicated app provides an all-in-one space for children’s observations, daily logs, secure communication, and lots more—making it easy for families to stay connected and informed.

My Availability
I offer flexible care Monday to Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM, with earlier starts available upon request to accommodate your family's needs. My settling-in procedures are tailored to each family, with three free sessions to ensure a smooth transition for your child. We currently have no spaces available until September 2026 but please still message as we may be able to help you with other local childminders or pop you on our waiting list.
