Key stage 1 and 2 maths and English tuition, including preparing for the year 6 SATs.
Online phonics, reading and maths lessons for children in EYFS and keys stage 1.
English lessons for speakers of other languages ( children and adults) including, conversational English, grammar and pronunciation lessons.
Using the virtual classroom children are taught using interactive activities and videos.
I teach my online lessons through the Zoom application which enables myself and the learner to share our screens, use a virtual whiteboard and communicate with each other, just as though we are in the same room. It’s a very convenient and comfortable way to learn.
My Experience
ABOUT ME- I am a friendly, reliable professional with over 20 years’ of domestic and international experience working as teacher in a variety of settings including, schools, colleges and adult learning centres. In primary schools, I have taught all age groups, from reception to year 6.
I have been tutoring privately for 5 years, and since the Covid pandemic, I have taught all of my lessons online. I also teach English (as a second language) online, to children and adults who live in China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Poland. I have taught five repeat students from the UK and China who I have taught for over three years. Through my lessons, they have gained in confidence and have made lots of progress.
My Qualifications
I am fully qualified to teach all primary aged children ( all subjects) and English as second language (ESOL). I understand some of the difficulties non-English speakers can face when living in a new country with an unfamiliar culture. I am very accommodating and take pride in providing good quality teaching to all I have worked with.
My qualifications include:
PGCE with qualified teacher status
Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in teaching English language to adults)
BSc in Psychology with Sociology.
My Availability
Tutoring is my full time job, so I am available from Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Obviously, I have a lot students who are already booked in and who I teach on a regular basis. However, because students come and go, my schedule changes frequently, so if you are interested in my lessons, please contact me to discuss my availability at that time.
