About Me
I am a creative, patient and enthusiastic educator who is passionate about strengthening students' confidence and supporting them in discovering what brings them joy and a sense of accomplishment. I am a practicing artist and am dedicated to widening accessibility in the arts and putting my skills in service of others. I recently moved to Glasgow after five years in the publishing industry to find flexible work that can fit alongside my artistic practice. Next year, I plan to study for a PGDE in secondary education, specialising in art.
I am available as a tutor in the following subjects: art, literature & creative writing, Japanese, cooking and am available as a babysitter for children of all ages. I have experience with newborns, toddlers, children, and young adults.
My Experience
I am passionate about arts education and have taught in supplementary schools in London and have convened workshops and presented lectures at universities in the UK and US. I recently left my career in publishing after five years at Penguin Random House, where I commissioned and edited a wide-array of art-related books, as well as Penguin Classics, poetry and serious non-fiction.
I adore childminding and feel most fulfilled when engaging with and nurturing young minds. I have three nephews (7 months, 4 years, 5 years) and two nieces (7 months, 3 years), who have taught me a great deal about caring for children. My experience in supplementary schools, where I lead classes for children aged 4-16, was also an incredibly valuable experience for me to learn how to connect with young people.

My Availability
I am available any days of the week and at any time of day. I am available for overnight babysitting but would prefer the children to get to know me a bit before this is agreed upon.
