About Me

Hi I'm Di, I live in the Putnoe area of Bedford and am Ofsted Registered . My home has a large enclosed outdoor space with a variety of outdoor toys, playhouse and a greenhouse where children can learn to grow their own veg plants ready to harvest later, this will also include growing Bee and insect friendly flowers, bug houses and learning about our environment. I also have a small covered fish pond, where children can help to feed " Wotsit " the goldfish. My home from home indoor space, has a small table and chairs, books , bricks, cars, dolls also an easel. I have numerous crafting materials for children to express their ideas through play, be it painting, colouring, making collages of leaves to make pictures from our walks or just building houses with bricks for the toy farm animals.
I believe in promoting learning through fun, play and communication.
Children thrive to be independent and make individual choices for their own personal development. Encouragement and praise for any achievement is essential to build confidence for all children

The indoor space also has a dining table where we can all sit for snacks and meals. I have high chairs and booster seats.
I have travel cots for children to have a sleep and this can be either upstairs of in the other room where I can monitor them or if they prefer on mats on the floor..
My local area has many parks, playgrounds and green spaces for the children to explore and in good weather to picnic in. There are many small shops and a library to visit. I will take them to soft play, playgroups with other childminders to promote and build their social development skills, and to days out at local farms.
I have buggies car seats, and backpack harness reins for when we go walking, I encourage year round outdoor activities.
I can offer a diverse and inclusive setting for all children of early years ages, with flexible hours Monday to Friday to suit the needs of working parents.
