About Me
I am currently in my masters year of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Sheffield having just completed a year in industry. Due to this I have strong knowledge in maths and physics. I also completed chemistry A-Level so have some knowledge in this area. I have a love for all sports and have played hockey at university to a high standard. I love spending my free time going for bike rides in the Peak District and chatting, playing games and laughing with family and friends. I am looking for some tutoring / childcare work partly as a way to earn some money to support my final year of studies but also because I want to feel the work I do is positive and that I use my knowledge and abilities to help a child or family that might need it.
My Experience
I have 5 months experience working in a secondary school as a teaching assistant, where I supported children with special learning requirements across all subjects. I thoroughly enjoyed helping the children develop and seeing them progress while building a relationship with them. My role was to provide the support that each individual child needed and to ensure the children felt happy and supported in their learning.
I also have experience tutoring family members and neighbours in GCSE maths and physics.
My Qualifications
Experience and training in working with ADHD and autistic children
My Availability
I am a student at university so am very flexible with when I can work. Before school child care works as well as tutoring and childcare at any point in the day especially in the evenings. Weekends are good as well.
