About Me
I have recently retired from my job as a primary school teacher and have experience of working with children in all year groups from Reception to Y6, specialising in the early years and KS1. I am a patient, reliable and creative person, with an active lifestyle. I feel fortunate to have had such a rewarding career and very much enjoy working with children and helping them to achieve their full potential.
My Experience
I have 18 years of experience as a primary school teacher, with a variety of roles including Early Years and KS1 leader, mentor to teaching students and subject leader in art and design and PE. I have a wealth of experience in teaching reading, phonics, creative writing and early maths skills. I have also worked as a teaching assistant, pre-school leader and childminder, and have three grown-up sons.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS (3-7 years)
NVQ3 in childcare and education
Paediatric first aid training
Dyslexia, ADHD and ASD training
My Availability
I am able to be flexible in the hours and days that I work, and can work outside of school hours.
