My Experience

My name is Gabrielle. Growing up in Tauranga, New Zealand, I was fortunate to have the beach as my backyard, which inspired my love of adventure and exploring nature. I also enjoy travelling, reading, journaling, drawing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. As the eldest of three younger brothers, I naturally embraced the role of an older sibling, which sparked my passion for a career in childcare.

With a degree in Early Childhood Education, I have extensive experience working with children of various ages. My career began in New Zealand, where I worked with up to 35 children aged 2–5 years, facilitating activities in art, science, and active play. I’ve always loved nurturing children’s interests and helping them explore and discover the world around them. Building responsive, respectful, and reciprocal relationships is central to my practice, and I take pride in my calm, kind, and nurturing temperament.

During the pandemic, I worked as a nanny in Melbourne, caring for a 5-month-old, a 2- 2-year-old, and a 4-year-old. Despite the restrictions, I created a fun and enriching environment with activities such as feeding ducks at the park, baking, and spending time outdoors. Upon returning to New Zealand, I gained further experience in Early Childhood centres, working with children under 2 as well as those aged 3–5 years.

In 2023, I moved to London and nannied for a wonderful family with two children aged 4 and 2. Our days were filled with park visits, soft play, arts and crafts, and baking. I also supported the family with nursery pick-ups, travel (both domestic and international), personal assistant tasks, and occasional babysitting.

In 2024, I relocated to Manchester to explore new opportunities and be closer to loved ones. While I have greatly valued my time in Manchester, I’ve realised that London holds a special place in my heart, and I’m eager to return and continue my career as a nanny in a city I love.

I am calm, caring, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure children are happy, safe, and thriving. I’m passionate about providing a stimulating and nurturing environment where children can develop their independence and confidence. My love of cooking also plays a big role in my childcare approach, as I enjoy involving children in meal preparation—an activity that’s both fun and educational, helping to develop fine motor skills and introduce concepts such as nutrition. Although I’m vegetarian, I’m happy to prepare meat-based meals if required.

I am confident in my ability to navigate new environments while providing attentive, high-quality care. I’m excited to bring my skills and experience back to London and to support your family in creating a happy and enriching environment for your children.
