My Summary
About Me
I’m a fun, friendly, and responsible person from Northern Ireland, now living in Kelvingrove, with a real passion for working with children. Growing up in a big, close-knit family with three siblings and lots of young cousins, I’ve always been around kids, which has naturally shaped my ability to connect with and care for them. I love spending time with children—it doesn’t feel like a job to me. Whether we’re playing games, doing arts and crafts, or just having fun, I genuinely enjoy making sure they’re happy and looked after. I especially miss the excitement of looking after my cousins back home.
With my experience as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and working at Camp America, I’ve learned how to create a safe and fun space for kids of all ages. I’m always up for something new, and I love bringing energy and positivity into everything I do. Whether we’re playing outside, doing creative activities, or learning something new, I’m all about making sure kids have a great time while being safe and cared for.

My Experience
My experience spans a variety of roles, all involving the care and interaction with children in both fun and responsible ways. Each role has helped me develop essential skills that translate directly to nannying.
As a lifeguard, I’ve refined my attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure. Constantly monitoring the safety of swimmers has taught me to anticipate potential problems and respond quickly and effectively. This role requires constant vigilance, responsibility, and decision making skills that are invaluable when looking after children. Whether it's ensuring they’re safe during play or in everyday situations, my lifeguard training, along with my fully qualified first aid certification , has prepared me to confidently handle any situation with care and efficiency.
As a swim instructor , I worked with children as young as three, teaching them important skills while keeping lessons fun and engaging. This role required patience, creativity, and adaptability—understanding that each child learns at their own pace. I learned to build trust with kids, ensuring they felt supported and encouraged while having a great time. Teaching swimming gave me the ability to create a structured yet enjoyable environment where children can learn while feeling secure, which is essential in any childcare setting.
Spending a summer as a Camp America counselor was an incredible experience that further developed my childcare abilities. I worked with children of all ages, driving the boat daily with children onboard, emphasizing my commitment to safety while ensuring they had a blast. Camp life taught me how to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a fun and nurturing atmosphere. There were many moments where I had to think on my feet, especially during downtime, and come up with creative ways to keep the kids entertained. I loved the challenge of keeping them engaged and excited, I also love getting involved and having fun!
All of these experiences mean that as a nanny, I bring not only fun and energy but also a strong sense of responsibility. I’m dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel happy and secure. I’m skilled at balancing fun activities with structure, ensuring kids enjoy themselves while still receiving the guidance and care they need. Whether it’s organising a day full of activities or simply being there to support and listen to them, I’m confident that my background has fully prepared me to be a reliable, energetic nanny that parents can trust.
