I’m 26 and absolutely love working with children and families. As the eldest sibling in my family, I’ve naturally taken on responsibilities from a young age, giving me plenty of hands-on experience in caring for others. My 15-year-old brother currently lives with me, and I take great pride in providing him with a safe, loving, and supportive environment. Being the eldest has shaped who I am—I would do absolutely anything for my siblings, and I would treat your children with that same level of love, care, and dedication.

What sets me apart is my ability to create an environment where children feel safe, calm, and protected, while also fostering trust, independence, and emotional development. People often tell me that they feel very calm and at peace when they’re around me, yet also secure and looked after. I believe this comes from growing up as the eldest sibling, always being the one others leaned on.

I have experience caring for children across a range of ages and managing the unique needs that come with different developmental stages—whether it’s toddlers learning independence, school-aged children navigating routines, or teens needing guidance and a patient listening ear. I’m also very flexible with personalities, happily adapting to energetic, active children or those who prefer quiet, creative activities like reading or crafts.

I focus on building strong, trusting relationships with children by encouraging open communication and emotional development. I believe it’s important to create an environment where children feel safe to express themselves freely, understand their emotions, and learn how to manage them in healthy ways. I’m also very big on teaching consent from an early age—helping children learn about personal boundaries, safety, and standing up for themselves, which I see as invaluable life skills for building confidence.

A lot of the qualities I bring to caring for children and animals come from my dad, who sadly passed away on 21/06/21. He ensured my siblings and I had the best possible childhood, filled with love, security, and understanding. I want to carry on his legacy by sharing that same care and support with other families and being someone they can rely on—a steady shoulder to lean on when needed.

I always take care to align with a family’s values and parenting preferences, ensuring that my approach complements what you’re already doing at home. Whether it’s bedtime routines, meal choices, or how you approach discipline, I’ll follow your lead to create consistency and peace of mind.

I’m also deeply passionate about health and wellbeing, particularly creating environments that are free of toxins. I research everything I use, from the washing-up liquid to the food on the table, ensuring it’s as natural, safe, and clean as possible. I believe children thrive in balanced, toxin-free environments, and I’m committed to making mindful, healthy choices wherever I can.

I’m a huge animal lover and take pride in treating animals with the same kindness and respect I give to people. Caring for them has shaped my patient and compassionate nature, which I bring into every aspect of my work.

Nannying and babysitting bring me so much joy because I get to watch children grow, learn, and develop their unique personalities. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I can play a small part in helping them flourish. At the heart of everything I do is the desire to make children feel safe, loved, and supported, just as my dad always did for me. I would be honored to bring that same level of care, trust, and compassion to your family.

A little about me:

I live in LS13 but I’m familiar with most areas in Halifax, Dewsbury, and Rotherham. I’m flexible with travel and happy to come to you—though I kindly ask that travel costs are covered in addition to my hourly rate.

I’m DBS-checked, first-aid trained, and have extensive experience working with children, adults, and families. In addition to babysitting and nannying, I also offer tutoring, which can take place at your home, online, or at mine—whatever works best for you!

Here’s an overview of my services:
• Babysitting/Nannying: £12.50/hour (at your home)
• Tutoring: Available online, at my home, or yours
• Bulk Shifts: Discounts available with a 25% deposit per day
• Payments: Cash on arrival

While I’ve held a full driving license since 2017, I don’t currently own a car. I’m a confident driver and can arrange insurance on your vehicle if needed (with costs covered). Alternatively, I kindly ask for public transport/taxi costs to be covered, or I’m happy to arrange pickup/drop-off by yourselves.

When I’m not caring for children, I also run my own business, HostedByAliya, and work as a live-in carer—so caregiving truly is second nature to me.
