About Me

My provision offers high quality care and early education for children from birth to five, and out of term time care for children between five and eight years. I tailor my curriculum to meet the needs and requirements of individual children to support holistic development in accordance with their age and individual stage of their learning journey, which enables them to achieve the very best outcomes and to reach their full potential.
I have over 30 years experience caring for young children and working in the early years sector, having previously been a registered childminder many years ago, working in children's centers, managing early years settings and, more recently, having run my own small day nursery.
I have six children, three of whom have 'flown the nest' and blessed me with six grandchildren, and three who still live at home with myself, my husband Jason, our family dog 'Maggie' and our two rabbits. Jason, who works in Aircraft restoration, restoring and maintaining many of the 'war birds' still flying today, is away during the week, leaving Pip, who has two part time jobs, Beth and Toby, who are both currently at Henry Beaufort, and myself at home.
Our family home is registered with Ofsted, upstairs, an area equip for uninterrupted sleep should your child have a specific routine which you would like to be incorporated, and downstairs, a safe, inviting and stimulating environment, both inside and outside, whereby the activities and experiences I provide allow for the opportunity for children to feel safe, have fun and develop a love for learning.
We spend a great deal of time outside enjoying many 'adventures', playing and exploring in the natural environment, the local community and the wider world around us, therefore wellies and outdoor wear is a must!
My strong belief in each and every child having the opportunity to grow, develop and achieve to their full potential, in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where they feel love, warmth and security, in conjunction with a range of activities and experiences which ignite their natural curiosity, supports their ability to become confident and resilient little learners ready to explore the awe and wonder of the world around them.
My understanding and recognition of parents being their child's primary educator remains at the forefront of my relationship with families. I foster secure partnerships with parents which enables me to gather the important information necessary to tailor the care and education packages I offer, to support and develop the uniqueness of each and every child.
I work in accordance with all requirements of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
