About Me

Hiya - I'm Avi, a 35yo artist from Bristol, I live in Knowle with my partner. I run my own small business selling my paintings at markets on weekends, but am looking to do some childcare/babysitting to supplement my income a bit, and have some fun! As I am a freelance professional illustrator I can also offer art-focused activities or more specific art lessons if desired.

I grew up the eldest sibling in a big family, so I feel confident in knowing the line between responsibility and play. I am sensitive, gentle, warm, reliable, punctual and can be firm when required, but I also pride myself on my playfulness and creativity.

The art I make is directed at children, and I would be keen to bring in some creative activities and informal art workshops to my time spent with kids. I love sing-along films, reading, going for walks (even in rain) and am very familiar with general care of cats and dogs if needed. I grew up between Bristol, Australia (Sydney) and the south of France - my takeaway skills are playing tennis, speaking a good level of French and being very comfortable in water. I can take kids to the pool/their swimming lessons, no problem.

In my spare time I write and paint, watch films, practice languages (French and Japanese) and volunteer at the Bristol's Children's Hospital. I have a full clean UK drivers licence and have recently renewed my DBS certificate.
