My Summary

My Experience

I have a diverse range of experience working with children in various settings. Currently, I am a nanny to a 5-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, where I am responsible for their daily routines, activities, and general well-being. This role has given me valuable insight into child development and helped me strengthen my skills in managing different age groups, encouraging learning, and fostering a positive and supportive environment for the children.
In addition to my work as a nanny, I have volunteered at a local Rainbows group for a few months, where I assisted with activities and ensured the young girls in the group felt supported and engaged. This experience has helped me further develop my communication skills and patience when working with younger children.
Previously, I volunteered for a year at a homework club, where I provided assistance to children of various ages with their academic work. I worked closely with them to ensure they understood their assignments, improved their study habits, and gained confidence in their learning abilities.
I also had the opportunity to tutor a 16-year-old boy for his GCSE English and Religious Studies. Through this experience, I tailored my teaching methods to meet his learning style and needs, helping him develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the subjects. Additionally, I have mentored a girl with special needs, offering guidance and support to help her navigate challenges both academically and personally.
These experiences have collectively enhanced my ability to work with children from different backgrounds and with varied needs, reinforcing my passion for supporting their growth and development.

My Qualifications

Although I don’t have specific childcare qualifications, I have a strong academic background that equips me with valuable skills for working with children. I have achieved 9 GCSEs, demonstrating a broad understanding of various subjects. Additionally, I hold three A-levels in English Literature, Psychology, and English Language, which have provided me with critical thinking, communication, and understanding of child development and behaviour. Currently, I am studying Psychology at university, where I am gaining in-depth knowledge about human behaviour, cognitive development, and how to support emotional and mental well-being, which are all relevant to working with children. My studies help me apply an understanding of children’s needs, both developmentally and emotionally, when caring for and supporting them.
Although my qualifications are not specific to childcare, my educational background and practical experience have given me the skills and understanding to provide high-quality care and support for children in various settings.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
