I have worked as a maternity nurse for private families for some time. I am a very caring, trustworthy, and a dependable person who can be relied upon to always undertake my role and responsibilities with competence and professionalism. I have good communication and interpersonal skills with effective team participation. I am a flexible person who can adapt easily and willing to learn from colleagues to improve my skills and abilities. I am passionate about my work, and I have advised mums on how to breast feed, latch correctly, engorgement, handle postnatal depression, bath, reflux, colic, and sleep worries. I have a knowledge of putting babies in a routine. I have advised new mums about nappy change, laundry needs, incorporating baby and family time, getting mums back on their feet after welcoming a new member into their families and how to become confident in their roles as parents. My hygiene skills are excellent, and I have a current DBS.
My Experience
I have worked privately with postnatal clients by providing continuous personalised physical and emotional support after labour. I have also taken care of mothers who had twin births which has broadened my experience in taking care of babies.
