About Me
I’m Hedy (23) based in Knowle and looking to become a full/part-time nanny. I grew up in Brighton in a family of 5; mum, stepdad, older sister (4 years older) and younger half brother (5 years younger). I also have two other half brothers (5 and 7 years younger) in a family with my stepmother…and a lot of younger cousins! As someone with a large extended family I've always enjoyed looking after younger kids whether they be my siblings, cousins or family friends. As a teenager I would often babysit in the evenings for kids of different ages. I consider myself a child at heart and feel that I can adapt very well to a child’s needs for care and play no matter what age or background. I am a very respectful, organised and neat individual, and would do my best to ensure your home and your child are well looked after.
My Experience
I recently had the opportunity to look after my 18 month old cousin for three months in the states. Essentially working as a live in nanny, I cleaned, cooked and walked their dog on top of caring for a toddler. I really enjoyed having one on one time together, we would go to the park, go for walks, play, I would tell stories, change nappies, do bath and bedtimes/naptimes. When looking after family, I have never worked on an hourly or paid basis. I have looked after siblings or cousins out and about or at home, overnight or during the day, travelling, going for walks, picking up, cooking etc. When looking after family friends, I have mainly worked in the evenings while parents have been out and have needed someone to step in last minute or in advance. This would be around 2-5 hours on average. I would cook and have fun with the kids, playing games but also making sure they have enough wind down time before putting them to bed.
My Qualifications
I have no professional childcare qualifications as of yet.
My Availability
I currently have a part time job lined up for the end of October, and I'm waiting to find out more about what my availability will look like. I wont be working any evenings and I imagine I will have a couple days/afternoons off in the week.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.44 per hour
Fees are something I would be willing to discuss, but my starting rate would be minimum wage.
