About Me
I'm Isis, a recent King's psychology graduate that wants to pursue a career in child and adolescent mental health. I am based in Camberwell. I love working with kids, especially exploring learning through play and art. I work part time at the Tate Modern, and am looking to get more child care experience before applying for a Masters in child development. I love animals, art, swimming, nature, and writing. Currently in the process of writing and illustrating a children's book so would love some opinions from the source!
My Experience
During my undergraduate placement year I shadowed the Preschool Imaging and Behaviour Project, working with preschoolers with neurodevelopmental conditions. I helped the families, played and spent time with the children, and overall learnt valuable skills about working with special needs children. I have some personal babysitting experience, volunteer experience working with year 1's in a school setting, as well as a few full days experience as a special needs teaching assistant, in which I provided one to one support for KS1 special needs children.
My Qualifications
BSc with Honours: 2:1 King's College London, Psychology with Placement Year
- Chosen modules included Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences, Early Neurocognitive Development
- Dissertation looked at the impact of sleep issues and autistic traits on neuroimaging data acquisition in a sample of preschoolers.
A Levels: A* A* A, Psychology, English Literature, Maths (respectively)
