My Requirements

Looking for a childminder within 2 to 2.5 miles from GU12 6, who offers FEET (Free funding for children aged 2+) that is qualified to look after my son and accompany his additional needs for a few hours. He doesn’t do well in big settings currently so looking for a more homely setting to get him used to socialising with a small number of other children before enrolling him to a nursery to prepare him for school.

Things to know about him:
- He is non-verbal
- Developmentally delayed/behind
- Has a fair understanding of simple commands, but sometimes needs a little extra help/persuasion to carry out a task given to him, BUT, he won’t come to you outside if called back
- Very hyperactive but does enjoy to sit and watch some of his favourite shows on tv occasionally
- Only eats certain foods that need chopped up into small cubes (1cm roughly) also cannot use a spoon or fork yet. Eats by himself with hands unless food is messy then needs spoon fed
- Needs more supervision than that of another child his age
- Still picks things up and puts them in his mouth. Doesn’t matter what it is

Other than that, if I haven’t forgotten anything, he is very loving and cuddly but only on his terms. Also very inquisitive, loves the outdoors especially when it comes to birds and planes.
