About Me
We are a warm and multicultural family living in Canary Wharf for almost nearly six years. I am, originally from Australia (Chinese descent), and my husband from Switzerland (French-speaking). We recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl in June who fills our days with smiles and joy. Together, we blend the best of Australian-Asian and Swiss roots in our London life, creating a happy home filled with love and laughter. We speak English and my husband speaks French at home.
Our apartment is small so although we are fairly relaxed couple we like a tidy apartment as best as possible. I am currently on maternity leave and my husband works full time (sometimes from home) but I will be returning to work in April next year.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a caring, experienced nanny/babysitter to help with our 5-month-old baby for a 2 hours a week either in the afternoon or evening for 2 days (Mon-Thursday), ideally on Wed and Thursdays, to give mum a break while dad’s at work.
We’re flexible on hours and would consider more regular days for the right person as we plan for my return to work in April next year. Ideally, you’ll be local to Canary Wharf or able to get to the area easily within 30 mins.
Currently I am exclusively breastfeeding so the hours would need to be flexible for essentially when she is fed. Duties would include changing nappies, putting her to bed for nap times and playing with her, it would be great if you could also kindly pick up around the house if she is asleep. We’re really looking for someone who can be part of the household in the longer term and build a relationship with our family as our baby grows. Next year, I would expect our babysitter/nanny to be taking more responsibility like cleaning the house, feeding, and perhaps picking up groceries while we are working.
