About Me
I am an experienced, patient and intuitive tutor with experience of working as Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants for children from the ages of 4 years to 16 years.
I am 44 years old, married with two boys aged 12 & 9 years.
My Experience
I have over 25 years experience of working with babies and children from birth to 16 years through babysitting, nannying, working in nurseries and as Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants in various schools in Bedfordshire. I have experience of tutoring primary school children in Maths and Literacy using multi-sensory approaches.
I have experience of some SEN - Global Developmental Delay and Speech and Language difficulties as well as Autism and ADHD.
My Qualifications
I am currently in my second year of a Masters in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) at UCL. I hold the following qualifications:
BSc Hons Business Management and Psychology
Accredited Practitioner Status (APS) of the British Dyslexia Association - this allows me to teach learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia)
SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) by the British Dyslexia Association - this allows me to assess and diagnose learners for dyslexia.
NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism
Current DBS on the update register.
My Availability
I have some availability for daytime/weekend and evening tutoring for primary school aged children in both maths and literacy.

Sarah worked with us when our baby was tiny and we had to get back to work. She immediately became a friend and the most reliable member of our family. She loved our baby and helped us with feeding and caring for the baby and inspired us to be the best people and parents we can be. She’s so full of down to earth, sensible loving ways of parenting it’s like having a life coach in your living room. Our baby loved her and we’ve only stopped working with her because we moved out of the area. Thank you Sarah for everything!
