About Me
Hello my name is Ava! I am 20 year’s old, currently living just outside of Canterbury and want to begin my journey into the world of childcare.
I adore working with children and animals more than anything, so naturally I found nannying to be the perfect fit for me. I have never found much joy or inspiration by working generic jobs which is again another reason why I love working in childcare. I have a basic DBS check, trained in first aid and would be happy to have any further checks / courses when requested.
I love keeping fit by going for long walks along the seaside or horse riding. So running around after the little ones / dog walks is no problem for me!
In my free time you will find me crafting, drawing, cooking, baking, painting, reading or journaling. I’m a very clean and organised person, learning a lot of my skills on a 3 - week yachting course I took last spring, training to a 7* service standard.
My Experience
I am currently working for a lovely family. Spending a few days a week performing standard nanny duties for two boys. As this is my first nannying job, I am accumulating a lot of experience as I go.
I have also gained relevant experience while helping my auntie (a working, single mother) babysit my younger cousin.
Tasks such as preparing food, taking my cousin to and from school, creating fun and engaging activities and helping out with school work where I can.
I also help my Auntie with her Art Class, in which I have gained experience in aiding and teaching children of all ages , abilities and needs.
I would also be prepared to do some light house work if needed.
My Qualifications
I attended St Edmunds School from year 7 to year 11 , I passed all my GCSE’s after having to finish school early in 2020 due to covid. I then went on to college in 2021 where I earned a merit my first year and a distinction my second year, studying Production & Performance Arts.
In 2023 I earned a range of certificates after completing a three week yachting course in the Isle Of Wight. Relevant certificates listed here;
