About Me
Hi! I'm Fiona and i'm looking for a new nanny/housekeeper to support me with maintaining our family home and looking after my three boys - aged, 8, 10 and 11. The boys attend the same school and don't have a heavy schedule outside of school, just football and tennis once per week.
This role is predominantly wrap-around care for our family, supporting with before and after school routines, including some school runs and housekeeping during the day. Your own car and driving license is essential.
I have a cleaner and ironing lady once per week, who I intend to retain, however daily housekeeping will be a key part of this role.
There will be weekend work available with overnight stays and sole care of the children, so I am looking for someone with at least 2 years experience in this sort of role and previous experience with sole-care / proxy parenting.
Ideally, we need flexibility with working days but rotas will generally be given at least a week in
advance and hours during the week will generally be from 7am with any after school hours being from 4pm.
The housekeeping side of this role will involve all aspects of housework; general tidying, surface cleaning, making and changing beds, emptying/loading dishwasher and bins, laundry, uniform ironing, shoe cleaning, putting food deliveries away, meal prep and running any necessary errands. Mum likes to keep a clean and organised home, so someone with previous housekeeping experience and attention to detail is essential.
Their before school routine starts at 7am, they get dressed for school, have breakfast and freshen up, then we aim to be out the door just after 8am. The children all attend the same school approximately 12 minutes from home.
Their after school routine is mainly focussed around downtime after a busy day and we keep homework light. They have showers and change after school, play on their games before dinner and bedtime is around 9pm, which gives ample time to sort their school bags, do some laundry, check schedules and prepare uniforms, kit and bags for the next day then prepare a balanced meal. Similarly with weekends, whilst occasionally there are parties and plans, we generally like the boys to balance their activity with downtime, so they get some rest.
I love spending time with the boys but equally i'm quite relaxed for our nanny to take the boys out for activities and adventures! They love being outdoors and trying new things, and whilst sports like football and tennis are their favourite, they love getting out on their bikes and scooters and going to places like the ice rink, bike park, bowling, climbing walls, arcades and a kick about at the park is always appreciated! Being close in age, they all get along well and have the same interests.
Hours:
24-30 hours per week | £17 per hour
Extra childcare hours available on weekends with day rates for overnight stays.
All candidates must have an up-to-date DBS and first aid and at least 2 years checkable references.
This is a long-term role. Immediate start.
