Hi, my name is Simon. I was searching for a more fulfilling career path and have pursued the life of a primary school teacher. After completing my PGDE studies in October, I look forward to probation in August 2025. Following a successful decade-long career as a commercial interior designer and wedding photographer, I look to help support young people in their journies through education. In my free time, I enjoy playing social tennis and keeping fit.
My Experience
As a recent graduate with a PGDE in Primary Education, my practical teaching experience has equipped me with the skills and enthusiasm to support primary school learners effectively, fostering inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning opportunities. With knowledge of the Scottish curriculum, I will always focus on ensuring pupils’ learning is engaging and scaffolded to their individual needs. Building positive relationships with pupils was a priority for me. I created a classroom atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement, ensuring learners felt supported and valued.
