About Me
Hello! We are a family of 5 living in a lovely part of Cambridge. Our children are 4, 3 and under 1. I am a stay-at-home mum and my husband is a doctor. We recently began home educating. We love being with our children - they are inquisitive, delightful and adore each other. I am looking for someone who will support us at home, both with the children and running the household.
I am from the UK and my husband is Australian.
We have been in Cambridge 1.5 years and consider it home now. We take a gentle-parenting and attachment based approach (co-sleeping, extended breastfeeding, baby-wearing) towards our children and we are a close-knit family. We would love for our nanny to feel welcome and part of our family.
Our girls absolutely love arts and crafts, listening to stories, puppets, baking and visiting the park and library.
Our approach to home education is one of natural learning where we follow the children’s interests and I am considering loosely following a Montessori approach as well. The classes the girls attend include dance, gymnastics and arts/crafts.
My Requirements
We are looking for an energetic and proactive nanny/housekeeper 3-4 days per week (20-24 hours) but can be flexible re days and number of hours for the right person.
Tasks would include playing games with the children, reading to them, coming up with ideas for arts and crafts and overseeing completion of work books. Other activities would include taking them to the park or on trips, including some home-education groups or baby classes.
I would also require assistance with family meal preparation, general cleaning, tidying and laundry. We have a weekly cleaner but someone who is willing to cook and help maintain general tidiness is a must. You will have access to a car. We also have an electric cargo bike so keen cyclists also welcome!
