My Experience
Growing up in a home where my mum ran a babysitting service, I gained early experience in child care. I later worked as an Examinations Support Worker at a London sixth form college, where I supported SEND students, helping them navigate exams and academic challenges. Currently, as a Youth Worker at BMEYPP, I work with young people aged 11–18, offering guidance and support through personal and academic hurdles. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving, while always prioritizing the safety and well-being of the young people I support.
My Qualifications
I have a strong educational background with 11 GCSEs and 3 A-Levels, followed by a BA in Media Arts and an MA in Gender and Media, which have provided me with excellent communication and creative skills. In addition to my academic qualifications, I have completed an Introduction to Safeguarding (Level 1) and hold a Level 1 certification in British Sign Language (BSL), ensuring I can provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children. My qualifications reflect my commitment to nurturing, understanding, and fostering the development of children in a thoughtful and creative way.
