About Me
Hello, my name is Lesia and I am fully qualified Ofsted registered Childminder for babies, toddlers and children in Keyingham. I am 40 years old and live with my husband and two children, 9 & 15 years old. We also have a lovely, friendly, gentle French bulldog called Bruce.
I have a lot of experience working with children and young people over the years
I am able to offer funded nursery education for 3 and 4 year old and eligible 2 year old. I am registered to accept Tax Free Childcare.
All children and families are welcome in my home. Childcare is provided in a relaxed, friendly home environment with plenty of age appropriate activities, toys, resources and outings to help your child develop and learn. I follow the National Curriculum , to create an excellent educational development plan, support your child in becoming school ready. These include, arts and craft, baking, dressing up, imaginative play, reading stories, nature projects, dancing, singing and lots more!
I know how important it is for parents to have regular updates on their child’s progress so we will strive to work closely with parents by developing positive relationships one where communication is ongoing.
My values are to provide children with a sound foundation for future education through fun, strong attachments, and parental involvement.
I live within 4 minutes walking distance of Keyingham primary school a lovely playground and football field.
I also accommodate funded children with 15/30 hours funding.
I offer full day and half day care and school holidays.
My Experience
In total I have 25 years experience working with children. I have worked as a teacher for 19 years in both secondary and primary specializing is Chemistry and Biology in the secondary schools, and varied subject in primary. I have also worked as a teaching assistant specializing with children with SEND. I have covered in varies schools in Hull and the surrounding villages as a supply teacher. My most recent work has been a social worker for a large charity helping young people with SEND on a 1-2-1 basis and in group sessions
