About Me
I love working with children and have gained a range of experience in nurseries, SEND settings, and the classroom. I love crafts and being creative and strive to encourage this in children as an important form of expression. I take a calm, compassionate and nurturing approach to working with children to allow them a safe space to learn and thrive.
Building positive relationships is a vital foundation for working with children to allow them to thrive emotionally and personally, which has been highlighted by one of my PGCE mentors: "all the children respect and have a positive attitude towards Lizzy and this is a testament to her as she has put the time in to speak and engage with every pupil".
Where every child is so wonderfully unique, learning differences and styles present themselves differently across the board. This highlights the importance of thinking about effective and creative methods to support learning, allowing for accessibility to learning and the importance of keeping it active.
Through my training, and more recently as a supply teacher, I have a range of experience across the whole of Primary at different levels and subjects. This means I have the knowledge and experience to support your child in a general or particular area that they may feel less confident in.
My Experience
I have a degree in Childhood Studies, which offered me the chance to work on different placements including a nursery and primary school. I have since completed my Primary PGCE, and am in my first year as a Primary School Teacher, doing supply teaching. These have all allowed me to use my knowledge and experience to deliver teaching to meet the needs of individual children.
