I live in Skipton and have lots of time, energy and experience to offer. I’m a kind, caring and trustworthy person who has held positions of responsibility in domestic settings as well as working in a creative background. I am capable, helpful and flexible in terms of the time I could offer. I love children, animals, cooking and gardening, and I am friendly and reliable. I have plenty of experience in running a home, childcare and I am an excellent team player.
My Experience
I have experience in childcare as a live out nanny of two pre-school children where I also helped with domestic duties. I worked two long days 8am to 6pm each week. I have also looked after two young boys, one with Downs Syndrome, after school and occasional sleepovers. I have run popular children’s art classes, both in local venues and in my own home which were great fun. I helped my own child (who is now 25) and the children of friends with tutoring in various subjects. I have worked as a personal assistant for number of years with a diverse range of responsibilities, including cleaning, cooking, ironing and admin. On several occasions I have dog sat for friends in their homes and also in my own home. I have my own dog and am happy to do any dog walking needed. I love gardening in my own garden and have had various gardening jobs over the years involving weeding, pruning and maintenance. I have run toddler groups and organised events for children. I have a wealth of experience in volunteering with children at primary school level, with craft activities, reading, trips out and sports. I was a school governor for 5 years, taking a keen interest in my child’s education and progression. In the past I have worked as a housekeeper in a busy guesthouse with responsibilities including servicing rooms, and meal preparation.
My Qualifications
I have A levels in Art, English Literature and CDT (Craft, Design and Technology) and a BA (hons) degree in Graphic Design
My Availability
I am very flexible in terms of availability but because I have a dog I am not available before school due to walks or overnight. I am happy to work occasional weekends.
