About Me
Hi, my name is Jade Woodhouse and I run a childminding service from my home in Colwyn Heights.
I live with my partner Jordan and we have 3 children, the eldest was born in 2017 and she is now in full time education in a primary school, our youngest 2 boys are 15 months apart born in 2022 and 2023.
My aim is to create a warm, home-like environment where the children in my care feel safe, secure, and truly happy. I believe that by offering a nurturing and familiar space, children can thrive, develop confidence, and build strong emotional connections. While I primarily meet their needs through the English language, I also make it a priority to regularly introduce basic Welsh. This not only enriches their learning experience but also exposes them to the beauty of a bilingual culture, fostering an early appreciation for languages and diversity. My goal is to ensure that every child in my care feels respected, valued, and appreciated as an individual. I strive to create a strong bond built on trust, where children feel comfortable expressing themselves and know they are genuinely heard. By fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, I aim to support their emotional well-being and encourage their confidence, helping them feel secure in their environment and relationships.
My Experience
Before becoming a registered childminder, I worked for the NHS as a healthcare assistant on the bank. The flexibility to choose where I worked gave me valuable experience with a wide range of people and their needs. By moving between different departments and working with individuals of various age groups, abilities, and needs, I’ve become highly adaptable and skilled in offering a person-centred approach.
My Qualifications
I have a qualification in home based childcare, my paediatric first aid, safeguarding training and food hygiene certificate
My Availability
I provide full day care, wrap around care, before and after school for Ysgol Pen Y Bryn, holidays, unsociable hours, overnight and weekend care.
I am committed to offering a flexible service that supports families with parents or carers who work outside of the typical 9am-5pm schedule. My childminding services are available Tuesday through Sunday and I am available on bank holiday Monday’s. However, if you require care outside of these days, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss how I can accommodate your specific needs.
