About Me
I’m Sonal a mother of a two year old. I have been working in the education field for up to 8 years in a primary school. Now I’m a mother of a two years old working from home. I have passionate and love with working along with children. Supporting their learning gives me a satisfaction that I can make a difference to their development and learning. I also have lots of experience in working with SEND children. I am based in Basildon SS14.
My Experience
I have been in the educational field for 8 years. I have worked with young children in primary schools. I can deliver lessons/ interventions on a one to one basis helping to develop everyday life skills for their future.
Interventions that I can deliver:
- Colourful semantics- where children elaborate their speech and language being able to talk in simple sentences to complex sentences.
- Following simple to detailed instructions. Here the child listens to the instructions given and follows the teacher by placing the right objects in the correct place. Example “give the teddy the small yellow banana”.
- Story narrative- the child is shown a picture / image then are asked questions to what they can see. This helps with speech and sentence building.
- What’s in the box. In this intervention the child is shown a box with an object inside. We sing together” what’s in the box what’s in the box”. The teacher takes the object out and asks what it is by using the 5 senses.
- Phonics. Phonics intervention helps children hear, identify and use different sounds that distinguish one word from another in the English language. It’s a life skill that would always be essential.
- Sequencing pictures, depending on the child’s ability 2 to 4 pictures are shown to put the correct order telling a short story.
I am able to create my own resources to support each individual child’s learning, all resources will be visual and child friendly.

My Qualifications
I have a degree in education studies from university of Greenwich, I am also qualified as a NVQ Level 3.
My Availability
Weekdays Monday to Friday afternoons. I would prefer tutoring and childcare in my house setting. Online lessons
