About Me
Hello! My name is Mameh and I am a medical student who is studying at the University of Edinburgh.
My education journey started out a bit rocky, especially due to many illness-induced school absences and sometimes poor teaching experiences, but with the influence of positive people in my life I was able to achieve my academic goals and find a way of learning that was the best for me. I hope to share some of the things that made me a more confident & enthusiastic learner through my tutoring on this website.
My aim with tutoring is to produce an environment that allows students to become more proactive, self-assured, learners; whilst memorisation can take you far, true understanding will take you to the stars!
Greatest Educational achievement: Conquering my maths anxiety and becoming more competent in Maths.
Favourite learning techniques: Feynman Technique, Interleaving, Blurting (multiple ways) + many more.
My Experience
I have 2 years of experience tutoring multiple KS3/4/5 students in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language. This was done through an online platform with prior safeguarding training. In this role, I have also worked with children considered to be SEND, specifically those with ADHD and dyslexia. Part of my role has also involved SEND training.
Enhanced DBS can be provided on request.
