My Experience

Dear Families,

My name is Betti, and I have worked with children for several years as an animator, babysitter, au pair, and tutor. Throughout this time, I’ve gained valuable experience in child care, from ensuring their safety to engaging them in fun and educational activities. I’m also from a family of six children, and as the middle one, taking care of children comes naturally to me.

I have been surrounded by children throughout my life. I started babysitting casually at a young age and later worked as an animator in a camp and a playhouse. During high school, I volunteered with refugee children, organizing games and fun activities for them. I also volunteered to support and develop the school integration of disadvantaged Hungarian first- and second-grade children.

At the age of 17, I spent a summer in the Netherlands as an au pair for two children, aged 1 and 6. After high school, I worked full-time for a family for 1.5 years. Their second-grade child was homeschooled, so I helped him with his studies. Sometimes the parents traveled without the child, once for two week, and I took full responsibility for their child during that time. When I started university, I had to say goodbye to this family because I didn’t have enough time anymore.

While studying, I worked with foreign families to help their children (aged 3–9) with Hungarian and homework. In the final year of my studies, when I had more time, I began working for a family with an 11-year-old boy who is homeschooled due to ADHD and Asperger’s syndrome.

I’ve worked with children from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and I understand the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for them.

I hold a valid driver’s license.

Although my English proficiency is intermediate, I am eager to improve further while living in an English-speaking environment.

While I do not have professional experience with newborns or infants, I have gained valuable experience caring for babies within my own family. I am eager to expand my skills and would love the opportunity to work with a family that has a newborn or young child.

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

My fee is negotiable and will depend on the specific duties and hours. I am happy to discuss and agree on a fair rate that works for both parties.
